Hey ladies.. not sure what to do! I hate unnecessarily going to the doctor (which I did MANY times with my last pregnancy) so i'm curious if this is normal??

Since yesterday afternoon i've been having SHARP pains under and around my navel. I thought maybe I pulled something but even when i'm NOT moving it's sharp & painful. It doesn't feel like ligament stretching.. it could be? I really have no idea.
It's making it hard to move, to lift things.. and hurts when I put any weight on my stomach at all (even my arm).
Parker is still kicking up a storm.. even more than usual actually- and when he kicks that area OMG the pain.. is unreal.

braxton hicks are pretty normal for me but I am having some nasty ones today that are not only uncomfortable, but are making me very nauseous.

All very confusing. I've been taking it easy, just not feeling any better. Do you think it's a pulled muscle, or something I should talk to my doctor about?

I often have pain around my navel too. I have had it with my other two pregnancies and this one. I think it is just stretching and all that, but OMG it can be uncomfortable! I have been having tons of BH contractions too, but none that make me nauseous so that is a little worrisome. I would try to rest and lie down on your left side if possible. Braxton Hicks should go away with rest. If they don't, or get worse then call your doc! Good luck and hope everything is fine!!!!!!

Sounds to me like a hernia. I'd call just to see what they think. Could be ligament pains, but it might not be either, so just call and see. KUP!

I was thinking hernia and the thought totally freaks me out!!

sadly for me, braxton hicks NEVER seem to go away- but with my last pregnancy they NEVER progressed me into labor.. so i'm hoping it's the same with this one.
Would I notice anything poking out if it were a hernia?

I would call and then they can decide if you should come in or not. You never know when it could be something more serious - so I would rather not take a chance. Sorry that you are uncomfortable and in pain - I hope you feel better.

I hope you get a call back soon and you get some relief. Please KUP. You're in my thoughts.

BTW, I love the name Parker. You pick the cutest names for boys.

I hope everything is alright. I had similar sounding pain right at the top of my uterus with my 2 previous pregnancies, and it was being caused by my gall bladder.

It never hurts to call/go in. It's their job to make sure you are okay anytime you need that reassurance.

Keep us updated.

No, you don't always have anything poking out for a hernia. Have you heard anything? Don't let it freak you out, they are pretty common. My FIL JUST had his hernia fixed, he's doing great! My brother had several. I don't think they can do anything until after baby is born, not sure if they can give pain meds or not to help until after. KUP!!

I'm back! everything is fine- she thinks it's just a pulled muscle. I even got to have an ultrasound to make sure there was no tear in the placenta or uterus. Parker is SO BIG, and was kicking away & sucking his thumb

I hope the office calls back soon and you find some relief. Don't feel bad about calling them either- if you feel like something's not normal than you have every right to ask them for an explanation/ help.

lol, sorry I missed your update! Glad everything is fine and a pulled muscle should heal in no time- rest up!
