I'm glad you passed.. Gestational daibetes is not fun to have, I'm one of the lucky few that's dealing with it for the second time. Just a little heads up.. Having Gestational diabetes has nothing to do with what you eat.. It's due to all the hormones and your body does not produce enough insulin to break down carbs.. Sorry for the rant, but everyone seems to think GD is due to what you eat, but there's much more to it..
that's what my doctor said too. she was more concerned that I may have it since before i was pregnant my sugar levels were borderline, so she had me all panicked.
Oh.. I would panic too.. The midwife I saw at my clinic told me that I may be diabetic before I was pregnant and this was before I did a A1C test, but I was not because my A1C (a blood test) came back normal.. This is why I don't like midwives.. lol But just a heads up.. If your sugars were borderline before you were pregnant.. There's a chance you may be pre-diabetic.. not so fun because that doesn't go away like Gestational Diabetes.. I would keep on top of that when you have your baby.. Because you never know when you may become a type 2 diabetic.. And I'm not saying this to scare you.. But I'm in the same boat as you, except I didn't have borderline sugar levels before I was pregnant, but since I had GD I'm high risk for it..
