Since so many of you have already taken it.... my test is scheduled for next Wed. at 11:15. I'll have to go in, drink the stuff and then wait to have my blood drawn.

I was told not to eat anything with sugar before coming - or not eat anything at all.

I'm not sure how I'll feel waiting until after my test and then my doc appointment to eat - will probably be around 1:00 pm and I really don't do well without eating!

Should I reschedule for another day and try to get an early test? I'm just scared the combo of drinking the pure sugar drink and not eating is going to make me sick.

I would try to make it earlier if you could. I was almost sick at mine, and I did it around 7-8am (and have to redo it Monday), and I'm guessing it was from fasting.

Good luck either way!

I would make it earlier in the day if it all possible. It's hard to go that long without eating (especially with the sugar rush that comes from the drink).

I would take the test as early as possible..

You can also eat protein.. Like eggs, sausage... Stay away from carbs, like milk, bread, cereal, etc..

Good luck with your test..

you can still eat, just try to not have something really sugary like cereal and such.

I don't have to go in at a certain time for mine thankfully.... you just go in between certain hours, but I was told not to fast and that I could eat before.

I'd schedule it for earlier if you can or at least bring something to eat right afterwards so you don't have to wait until after your Drs appointment too.
