I had an appt for 3:45 pm today and I knew I would be seeing a diff. dr in the practice because my dr (which is the only one there that accepts medicaid) is still on vacation till Monday. I already had to reschedule from last week because I didn't have a way up there. Anyway, I get to the appt. (hoping I'm going to find out the results of my EKG I had done two weeks ago for heart palpitations) and after doing my urine sample and blood pressure, they tell me that the dr. just left for a delivery. I was like, ok fine. I wait about 30 minutes then it dawns on me..the woman could take hours pushing and there are patients ahead of me. So I ask how long it might be - the nurse says I am the last patient and the three rooms she sees her patients in are full right now. So I'm like screw this I'll just reschedule. DF is passed out on the waiting room couch and I have a relative watching my son and I can't just leave him there without knowing how long I will be. Luckily I got it rescheduled for Monday but if our other car isn't fixed by then (DF is working on it) then I'll have to reschedule AGAIN! AGGGHHH!! It will be 6 weeks next week since I have seen a dang OB!
oh I wouldn't want to wait either! That happened in the Dr's office last time I was there too, thankfully the Dr I was seeing that day wasn't the one doing the delivery, I have no patience. Especially like you said when someone is waiting for me & my kiddos are at home with someone else.

im sorry it didnt go well. is it wierd that they had her do a delivery when she had patients. dont they have a certain on call doc? i guess i dunno how that works. i hope monday works out for you though!
I think your dr (or whoever is covering for him/her) is always called in to delivery your baby - here at least. I wouldn't want to deal with one doctor for my whole pregnancy and then have some random on call doctor deliver my baby!
My drs office called to re-schedule me too because my doctor has to do a c-section that day boooo!
