So I went to take my dog on a walk yesterday and she annoyed a group of wasps somehow and before I knew what happened I had 3 wasp stings on my hand now call me a baby but i haven't been stung since I was about 10 and I really dont remember it hurting so bad. I called my DH in tears then called my doctor (why I'm not really sure I think I just needed reasurance that I wasn't going to die lol) She said take benadryl and tylonol to make it better. For the record that was yesterday at 3 and now today my hand is still swollen to twice its normal size. I think next time i go out i'm wearing long sleeves and gloves lol

By the way my doc also mentioned that bee's and wasps seem to be attracted to pregnant women as she gets this complaint a lot....anyone else having problems with the evil bugs?

I'm not an outdoorsy type person so I can't say that I've had problems with insects being attracted to me. LOL

I'm sorry that you got stung..that really sucks. I remember the last time I got stung a few years ago..didn't feel too good. I can't imagine three! I hope your hand gets better soon!

Ugh wasp stings freaking hurt like crazy! I feel your pain. Try icing it for a while. That should help with the pain and the swelling.

A few years ago I worked at a bank and we had to wear blazers. I went outside to put something in our dumpster and when I lifted the lid 3 wasps went right up my sleeve and stung right behind my elbow. It hurt so bad!

Oh no! I'm sorry.

I'm terrified of getting stung, the last time I was 11 I. My mom has a deathly allergy to insect bites and stings that she developed in her 20's and now has to carry a epi pen everywhere she goes. Since I haven't been stung in years I don't know if I have it now too. Ack.

Update: well it's STILL swollen and still hurts I've been taking the meds and then sleeping for about 6 hours get up eat take more pills go back to sleep. This pattern might get old in another day or so. On a good note though since my hand is still swollen and just looks painful i've got the sympathy vote from hubby and he cleaned the house today during one of my naps and even made lunch (steak and potatoes yum!)

Ouch!

When I was in 2nd grade I was attacked by bees (hornets I think). I had over 20 bites on me and was swollen for days. My threw me in a bath of cold water right away and said bee stingers were floating all over in the water.
