Have you noticed your hair hasn't been falling out? You know, the normal amount when your brush or shower..

Mine has stopped cold turkey. I always loose a bunch of hair every day.. This happened with my last pregnancy and after a few months after having Adriana it all came out in clumps.. It was like all 6 months worth of hair was falling out at once.. Luckily I have so much hair it wasn't noticeable.. lol

Anyone else notice this?

Yes. In the beginning of my pregnancy it was still falling out but now that you mention it, I haven't seen any for a long time.

I remember my hair falling out after having Olivia, about 3-4 months after. I'm so glad someone warned me about it or I would have been afraid I was going bald! lol
I never had clumps come out but a lot of strands. Thank goodness I have super thick hair so it wasn't very noticeable.

I've had the opposite problem but it's getting better. For the first few months I was losing hair like crazy. I have a ton of hair so it's not like anyone else would notice but after I got out of the shower the amount of hair in the drain was crazy!

I wish! My hair loss slowed in the beginning but it seems to be picking back up. I've been taking my prenatals religiously so I'm not sure what has caused the change for me - I just hope that since I am still losing a fair amount of hair daily that after I deliver I don't lose the 'clumps' everyone speaks of. My hair is not that thick and I think it would be quite noticable.
When you all say 'clumps' - do you actually mean 'clumps' or just a lot at once? Like if a clump came out would it leave an empty spot on your scalp or is it spread out enough to not notice.

I never noticed any actual clumps. There just seemed to be a lot of loose hair - everywhere! When I would take a shower there was a huge amount in the drain and same when I brushed my hair.

There also seemed to be old hair wherever I went, including all over Olivia. lol

Just alot of strands once.. I never had a bald spot.. It just seemed like a lot would come off when I washed my hair. It was so bad, it started clogging up our Animal Dyson vacuum cleaner more often then normal.. lol Which drives my husband crazy.. hehe..

Mine has stopped falling out but what I noticed different this time around is that it doesn't seem to be growing like it did with my previous babies. I am ok with that because I hate have to cut my hair. I have natural curly hair and finding a hair style that is cute is HARD. But I was surprised at how slow it is growing.

losing hair AFTER baby is born is something no one told me about, and I wish I had known about. during pregnancy it remains normal, with a few hairs falling out here and there, but a few months after delivering, I had tons of hair loss, not like clumps, but tons and tons of strands.

I have super fine hair so I've definitly noticed! I also usually lose more than an average amount [like have to clean the tub drain more often because it]. But same here, a few months after DS was born it came out with a vengance. It was awful, I remember getting really upset about it. Not looking forward to that at all!

Hair follicles do not fall out as easily during PG...I think it's hormonal. Once your hormones start really normalizing again after baby is born, you start to lose hair pretty quickly. I'm also glad that someone told me about this so that I didn't think something was realllly wrong with me. I swear, I clogged the shower drain multiple times. Yuck!
