Oh my gosh... for the last couple of weeks I just feel like I'm going crazy. I'm generally fairly low maintenance, but I still like to look nice... I'm an engineer for an oil and gas company, so I need to be presentable and professional looking at work. Anyway, for the last little while I just feel like my hair is gross and stringy, no matter what I do. I have these little baby hairs that keep cropping up around my part that I cannot tame. My make up is blah, and I still don't seem to have that perfect bump. I'm just feeling really down on myself. I know.. this is a total pity party, and I completely understand that it's hormonal, but I have no idea what to do about it. I only cut my hair about 5 weeks ago, but I'm going back today to see if I can find something that I like. I hope that maybe a new 'do will kick start me?!?!? Wish me luck!

Maybe a good day of pampering will make you feel better. Are you by any chance having a girl? They say girls steal their mother's beauty.

I've actually not had too many moments like that this time, thankfully. But I did go get my hair cut a couple weeks ago because I was feeling blah and couldn't do anything with it. My hairstylist did a great job and created a really flattering cut that made my cheeks look smaller (they puff up when I'm pregnant) and I've felt a lot better about myself and appearance ever since.

I agree, a day of pampering and relaxation always helps. ((hugs))

Well, I'm on team yellow so I don't know for sure, but everyone is agreed that I'm having a girl... maybe that's what's causing the beauty issues?!?!

I have the exact same thing happening! Mine are all along the front of my hair though, and they stand straight on end unless I use a gallon of hair spray

I go back and forth - some days, I feel beautiful and other days I feel horribly ugly when pregnant. It helps when people compliment me... but pregnancy has definately taken its toll on my self confidence and made me question the way I look more.

Whats been working for me is to only wear things I feel good in - even if I have to change my outfit 3 times until I feel like I look good. I also spend a little extra time on my hair, make-up and nails. For instance, I've started using hot curlers in my hair to give it more body - when before I was pregnant, I would never do that. It's those little things that help me feel more beautiful...

That's a really good suggestion. I know that I've been getting lazier in the mornings, and whatever the first outfit on is ends up being good enough, and then I hate it all day at work!! Plus, I've gotten out of the habit of doing anything with my hair other than leaving it down... this morning I actually got up a little earlier, worked with it a bit, and I do feel better... all it took was an extra 5minutes - I'm sure I can handle that on a daily basis!!!

I feel rather crappy about myself this pregnancy. In others I have felt great, and felt like I looked good... this time... just look fat and old. LOL
