i've been having some pain on my left side above my pubic bone, and my pelvis and lower back. it really only hurts when i'm laying or sitting down and trying to turn on my side or get up. it doesn't feel like cramps or anything so i'm thinking they're growing pains? it just seems like they came on so suddenly.

no other symptoms i.e. discharge or contractions.. although i caught a cold or something and have been coughing all night and day today.. i figured those might have something to do with my pain too.

any advice would be appreciated! thanks!

I'm sorry you're not feeling well. I wonder if your baby has changed positions & is putting more strain on your ligaments?

I know the coughing doesn't help, I'm sure. An old fashioned remedy for coughing that really does work is swallowing a spoonful of honey. It coats your throat and can stop the coughing.

I hope you feel better soon!

It sounds like either growing pains or a pulled muscle. I hope you feel better soon!

thanks for all the replies! i'll try the honey tonight.. i've been taking a little robutussin, but of course i'd rather try something natural instead!

Perhaps you could try a prenatal massage? After your coughing improves... if you still have the pain. I know it won't help with the pain above your pubic bone, etc. but perhaps it could help relax the muscles in your back... which might help in the front as well?

Maybe the baby is laying just right causing it?
