Well, it has been 2 weeks since my bleeding incident and I am now off pelvic rest. I went to the Dr. today and asked her if we could DTD. LOL. She said that we could 'try' but it might make me bleed again. She said there is no way for her to be able to tell me if I would or would not. but that my cervix was very vesselly. She said to call her if we DTD and I did start bleeding again.
So.............What would you do?
Do we try it and see how it goes?
OR
Do we just not DTD until 6 weeks after the baby is born?

No, not that I know of. It is just the vessels that are on my cervix. They get agitated from sex and bleed, causing me to have quite a bit of bleeding.

Maybe you could DTD "shallow" so the cervix doesn't get aggitated?

Sex??? Whats that? I think I forget No, I am kidding, I guess I don't really have an answer for ya. Would I be scared to DTD in your position. Yep I would. But I am sure it is safe, just scary... so this is solely up to you.....

I wouldn't but that's just me! LOL At least not til maybe 34wks when I felt more comfortable as to the possibility of pre-term labor. I am still on edge though....so that could be why I would be more cautious....I'm still living the with the nerves of every little thing!!

Well since the bleeding was due to the irritated cervix and reaction to the meds...
I would say go ahead and DTD...
I can't remember did you have any bleeding prior to the use of that gel from DTD or did the bleeding start with the use of that gel?
If you were bleeding only with the use of the gel then I wouldn't worry since the bleeding was caused by the gel... KWIM

I had some spotting (from doing normal activities and it putting too much pressure on my cervix) and then we DTD and I had bright red bleeding. The stupid PA thought that I had a vag infection and that was where the bleeding was coming from and gave the gel. Really it was just because my cervix was a little aggravated already and then we DTD and it really aggravated it.

I was on pelvic rest for the first tri for pretty much the same thing, a very irritated cervix. I would bleed every single time we DTD, and sometimes I saw clots, which was scary. I would probably hold off another 2 weeks or so, give your body more time to heal. THEN I would DTD.

I probably wouldn't do it, but just because the bleeding would cause me more worry than good. But it sounds like they're certain it's not harmful, if you want to, I'd just take it really easy!

I wouldnt, but thats just me. If I saw any sign of bleeding, it would completely freak me out.. even if I "knew" it wasnt harmful. I would prob wait and let my body heal a bit more and then try it out..

20 weeks with no sex?? 14 weeks left in pregnancy(just a guess how many weeks you are) + 6 weeks recovery from labor seems like a loooooong time! Can you toughen up the cervix from DTD a few times?
I would do it and see how it goes. Bwow chica wow wow!
