For my first child, I had a very cool 'mini crib' on casters. It had been in my family for several generations, and was VERY handy for having a place to put baby while I cooked, after her bath, etc. I could wheel it around easily; it was small and easy to move. Sylvie never liked sleeping in it, but it would have been great if she had. Anyway, my younger cousin just had her first baby, so sadly I had to pass the crib on to her in another state so that someone else could have their turn with it. Now I am torn. I would like to replace it with something, but am not sure what. A bassinet on wheels? Have you bought one of these? What about one of those mini-co-sleeper things? Do you think one of those could be easily moved around as well? I have a big pack-n-play with a bassinet on it already, but that's just too big for what I have in mind. What have you used/plan to use? Thanks, hope all is well with everyone!

I am using a bassinet for now because I am limited on space. The bassinet will be right near me at night.

Would sleep with her but DH and I both sleep pretty violently so the bassinet is a good idea.

It is just the right size compared to the bed....and considering I will get up to change her as well that doesnt bother me. But she does have her own crib in her own room if it comes down to it.

With my arms reach cosleeper that we had with first DS it attaches to the bed with these straps that go between the mattresses to keep it secured to the bed so there's no gap for baby to fall down between in middle of the night transfers, so that makes it kind of hard to do easy moves IMO.

For what you're thinking of using it for i'd probably go with the bassinet on wheels. Although for me I plan on just using the bouncy chair for the first few months, that's what I did for most daytime naps while I worked around the house, it's light and portable and was perfect for my needs.

I have a bassinet which has a rail that goes down so the baby is right next to me and it has wheels so I can easily move it around.
