Over the last week or so I've had diarrhea quite a bit. I know that can be common in the days before labor. Well this evening I had heart burn which isn't at all uncommon since I pretty much always have it these days. It wasn't too bad but annoying. I've had much much worse heartburn pretty much on a daily basis so while today's was annoying it wasn't that bad.

Well DH made chicken tacos for dinner and I was looking forward to them. We sat down to eat and I made up my taco. All of a sudden I needed to vomit like right then! I went running to the bathroom and puked my poor little guts out.

I haven't puked this whole pregnancy. I feel ok now. I have no idea what brought it on but it wasn't fun. I was just reading online and found some sites that say vomiting can be a sign of labor getting ready to start.

I think any of that stuff can be a sign, it's your bodies way of getting rid of any excess so it can put all the energy toward labor instead of digesting food or getting rid of foods that are too rich and not light enough on the tummy. Our bodies do really weird things in preparation for labor...hope it's soon for you!

I'm wondering if it's a sign of labor. Although at this point you know how it gets. You wonder if every little twitch, cramp, and everything else is a sign of labor.

Oh gosh I know...it seemed like not too long ago we were analyzing every symptom we had because we were all wondering if we were pregnant, now we're doing it because we want to go into labor....sheesh, do we ever get a break from symptom analyzing? LOL! I think that it definitely could be a sign though...I mean have you retraced your steps on what you have eaten lately to eliminate maybe it was something you ate? Are you stressed? Fatigued? Been exposed to anyone with the flu? If you can say no to those then I would definitely be trying some things to get the ball rolling with labor and just see what happens, if you body is ready, something is bound to work, if not then, hey chalk it up to a false start, KWIM?

I ate at Boston Market for lunch but I didn't throw up until almost 5 hours later. I didn't even really feel sick before hand. Just all of a sudden I had the urge to vomit. I feel fine now.

Stressed? LOL I have a toddler and I'm 9 months pregnant so I'd go with yes on that one but not enough to make me throw up.

Fatigued? See above answer! LOL!

Don't think I've been around anyone with the flu but ya never know. I don't feel bad in any other way though.

Guess we'll wait and see.

The night before I went into labor, I felt very ill. I thought it was the food I ate. My water broke at 4:30 AM the next morning.

i've been getting heartburn pretty bad in the evening the past few days, which i haven't had at all during the pregnancy until now, and it's to the point where i sometimes feel like i'm going to throw up. i have heard that your body can have flu like symptoms before going into labor. i think vomiting qualifies as flu like symptoms.

It could be! I didn't puke but as soon as real contractions started I could NOT stop pooping (even up to 5cm dilated). I thought that was what was causing the contractions at first.. but nope, it was labor
