Hi,

Anyone have good recommendations for getting labor going? We've heard walking, spicy foods, sex - anything else? Willing to try anything about now!

Nipple stimulation, and pelvic tilts on an exercise ball & lots of basil & oregano can help. But baby will only come when ready. I tried everything. Sorry so short - nursing at keyboard

my doctor has told me sex, and that will only ripen your cervix. other then that baby will come when ready. if your cervix is ready for ripening then sex will help it along. my doc is convinced that id deliver if we did it more often... oh by the way its the seman that softens the cervix. im sure you already knew that but just in case its not actual sex. ill tell you though ive been walking/running around like a mad women had sex the other night and eating spicey food ( only cause i like spicey ) and im still here too. how far along are you anyway? is this your first? if it is it may take longer, but you never know. goodluck.

GL! I'm 39 weeks tomorrow with my 2nd and i've done all of the above (except nipple stimulation) and I don't feel like he's coming soon. My first was 6 days late. I hope you (and I for that matter) don't have to wait that long.
