I would definitely ask your doctor about that...if you don't get an epi they will let you have clear liquids such as broth, juices and jello and sometimes very light things to eat like saltines with PB and J, that's what they let me do with DD before I got the epi and then with DS I had a fruit and yogurt platter in the earlier parts of labor, I didnt get an epi with him but food was the last thing I could think about when I was in transition! Plus it's not good for the baby's b/s levels either if you go really long without eating.

You should mention it to your doctor. Everytime I was in labor they brought liquids(chicken broth, jello, juice, coffee). Your blood sugar should be fine if your hospital allows it.

Definitely mention it. They can always give you something through your IV too if you aren't allowed to eat anything.

i would mention it to your doctor. i get it all the time to when ive gone a few hours with out food. never had it diagnosed though. i know when i was in labor though they gave me turkey sandwiches and what not to eat. up until i had the epi then i could only have clear liquids. im thinking youll be fine. but talk it over with your doc so you know their policies everyone is differnt.
