Can anyone tell me or show me pictures of how their changing table area is organized? What's the most helpful stuff to have handy?

A friend of ours gave us their changing table...it's a three tiered one where you have the changing pad on the first tier and can put baskets in the bottom two tiers to hold things...

Most of Mari's clothing and stuff is in her bureau, but I'm thinking I might want to move some of the more essential pieces to the changing table...what do you think??

Ours is all one piece, changing table with a shelf underneath and the dresser under that. to the right (also attached) is a drawer & a cabinet.

we have diapers & burp clothes in the shelf directly under the changing pad, to the right we have his lamp & wipes, and in the drawer under that qtips and diaper creams and the billion binkies he refuses to take.

really it's whatever is easiest for you. I like not having to reach very far to get what I need to get in & out quickly, since changing time = screaming time

here's what we have
changing table/dress with a hutch (notice diaper genie next to it). The green pad looking thing is the changing pad. I still haven't put anything back on the hutch since we've moved. I'll have to do that...

top drawer on the left hold had and paci's (things we don't use too much), but the 2nd drawer down on the left has the wipes and diaper cream

third drawer on the left (big one) is where i have the diapers

We just have a changing pad on top of a three drawer dresser with shelves to the side. Beside the changing pad we have a few diapers for each child, wipes, ointment and vaseline, a low soft light lamp, a basket with some misc stuff such as a hair brush, etc.

The kids sleepers and casual clothes are each in a drawer and they share the top drawer that has socks, hats, tights, hair stuff, etc.

The shelves has the first aid kit, a basket for each of the kids with their shoes, etc. and some burp rags and towels for baths.

We have diapers in the top drawer, then pj's in the bottom drawer and then we have a door to the right.. in it is hair bands and shoes and extra butt cream, etc.. On the top of the changing table, I have her wipes and butt cream and comb and brush.

We don't use a changing table. We don't really have the space and it just wasn't a priority. I use change diapers on the living room floor. When they are really little I lay a blanket down and lay the baby on there. I have a basket with DS's diapers and one with the baby's diapers. I keep the wipes there with it.

i dont have pics right now. but ill try and explain what i do. in my sons room we have a nice dresser changer. i have one big door with a shelf on the right, and four drawers on the left side. i have a diaper hanging basket that i hung on the wall to the right, that holds gabriels diapers. in the top pull out drawer i have jesse's diapers. i put them in a little basket in teh drawer... yes i like things very neat. next drawer done i used to keep the recieving blankets... i have found that sometimes while changing baby they are so gross you can hardly keep teh changing cover clean, seeing as how i only have about 3 of them, i grab a recieving blnaket and put it under their bum so i can just throw that in the wash when im done changing them. i have a thirty million receiving blankets. anyway my boys are big now and i dont need to do that anymore but at newborn stages very helpful. in the big storage side i keep all the extra diapers, wipes, genie refills, swimmer diapers.. stuff like that. and in the other drawers i put their hooded towels an dwash cloths and the bottom i cant remember i dont think there was anything essential other then that. oh wait bum cream which i never really needed i threw in teh basket in the top drawer.... in gianna's room i have a three shelf changin gtable like yours. i should take a picture to explain better. but anyway i threw the diapers wipes and bum creams up top shelf, and washcloths towels bottom. ill probably throw some recieving blankets on teh bottom shelf also... other then that i dont think i have anything stored there. diaper genie again next to changing table. i also like to keep a waste basket close by cause there are some things you just throw away, like when you change the wipes or refill the genie that trash is well just trash..... ill try and post pictures later.

I was gonan show a pic, but I can't find one right now.

our changing table is in the middle of what used to be an entertainment center for a 65inch tv.... but it works perfect around the changing table cuz of all the cloth diapers and organizing the kids clothes for the day and evening.
