Hi ladies. I haven't been on much so I thought I'd give you all an update. I can't believe Billy is already over 3 weeks old. Next Thursday he'll already be 1 month! The time sure has flown by. He does a good job holding up his head and now focuses on objects. A little while ago, he was staring at the aquarium. He finally likes his swing, which is a big relief for me. Before that, I had to carry him at all times. Of course I didn't mind, but it was difficult to get housework done. He still doesn't like his Bjorn carrier, so I need to work on that with him. He has good nights and bad. Some nights he goes right back to sleep in his bassinet after I feed and burp him (when he is able to burp). Others, he won't sleep unless he is on me. I've had many of those nights, but I love cuddling with my little pumpkin. I do make it a point to never fall asleep with him on me while I am in bed. Well, I did that once on accident. Now, I will sleep reclined on the couch, so I don't get too comfy. He loves his baths, especially when Dh and I both give him one. It's our special family time. ************************************************** *********************************As for me, I am doing fine. I do have an infection in my stitches from my episiotimy. I am on antibiotics, so hopefully that will help. Other than that, and lack of sleep, I have no complaints. Even the lack of sleep is nothing to complain about because I am holding, feeding, changing, or rocking my son during that time. I absolutely love being a mom!********************************************** *************************************I do need to add in a complaint though. My car sucks! It's a great car and I love it, but a Mustang is not baby friendly. Nobody can sit in the passenger's seat when the baby is in the car because the seat needs to be moved so far forward to fit in the infant carrier in the back. When going somewhere like the doctor's office, I have to park way far because I need the space next to me empty. I need to open the door all the way to get the seat out. Oh, and to top it off, I scratched up my travel system getting the darn thing into my trunk. I also have no room in the trunk once the stroller in in there. I need a new car, but DH is being difficult about it. He needs to go somewhere in the car with the baby and see how difficult it is. I'm sure I'll be able to convince him that we need a car with more space. ************************************************** *********************************BTW, congrats to all the ladies who have given birth while I was MIA!

Glad everything is going so well. Can't believe how fast the time is going!!!

I hear ya on the car. We have a little Saturn and with two car seats in there it's a very tight squeeze. I never thought I would say this but a mini van is starting to look good. lol

We need to see more pics of Billy - I bet he's changed so much!

I'm glad to hear all is well with you guys. I know those sleepless nights are rough but they are so worth it when you look at your precious baby. I remember being exhausted and one look at my baby and I'd just melt and the world was fine again.
I hope you convince DH you need a car. I had 2 kids in my civic and it was impossible to take the stroller and put stuff in the trunk or fit anything other than the kids in the car and it's more kid friendly than a mustang.

Dh said no mini vans ever. I could go for a small SUV. I will upload some pics now.

Thank you. I need to learn to sleep when he sleeps during the day. Right now he is asleep in his swing. I should be napping, but I'm here instead! A Civic is a 2 door car, right? It's a pain to have to move the seat forward every time you want to put the car seat in or take it out.

I'm glad to hear things are going well for you! I definitely want to see pics soon! I hope your DH agrees about a bigger car soon. A Mustang definitely isn't the best car for driving a baby around.

Glad things are going so well! I would definitely keep pushing your DH to get the new car...I can't imagine how difficult it would be to get a baby in and out of a mustang

I can't believe you're little one is almost a month old! The time sure has flown.

Hopefully, you're able to convince your dh that you need a different car.=) I couldn't imagine trying to get a baby carrier in/out of a two door car. Good luck!
