I know we have several nurses in here, so I pose this question to you: Can infants get hemorrhoids? I just noticed what I assumed to be a little hemorrhoid around Lillie's bum, right on the anus. She hasn't been constipated, nor had diarrhea, and they don't seem to hurt or even bother her. If not hemorrhoids, what else could it be?
no nurse here but my friends son had them when he was like a year old. His was from constipation though, they didn't do anything for him since they didn't bother him. The doc said to use tucks of they got painful. Hope the real nurses can help
they could be. They also can be a skin tag (TMI-hubby gets them). If they don't bug her thats great, they will not hurt her just being there. Next Dr appointment point them out but I don't think they will even bother doing anything for them.
Its just a little flap of extra skin that forms in areas of friction. Usually the "butt crack/groin fold" region, under the breasts, armpits, some people just get them in a random area also. Some look the same color as skin others get a little brown.....to me they look like deflated moles! LOL Worse case they get irritates and raw (I've had a couple removed in armpit area because of this). But usually you just leave them.
