We noticed tonight that Christian has puffy red armpits Sadly I dont know how long they have been that way since daddy normally dresses him in the morning and for bed ( and he doesnt pay that close attn...)

They dont seem to bother him at all but I was wondering if you had any ideas?

I think there are lymph nodes in your armpits & they swell if there is an infection. But I would think that would be accompanied by a fever. I would have him seen by hs Pedi for sure.

cohen had puffy swollen nipples when he was a baby and the doctor said it was just hormones and could take a while to go down - they did. best to call the doc and see.

Update:

So i put A&D ointment on his puffy pits and the swelling did go down. They are still a little red but not nearly as bad...

NOW he also has a rash on his chin (showed up a few days ago)! Oddly enough I have the same rash (showed up today) in my armpit (of the arm that he sleeps on...)

My poor baby BTW Still waiting to be able to see the ped...

That looks like he might have a yeast infection in his pit. It's caused from too much moisture. Kayla had it in her neck rolls and leg rolls when she was just a couple of months. They gave us nystatin and it cleared it up.

Thanks for the suggestion! He does sweat alot and we still have his prescrpition for nystatin. He stopped taking it 2 weeks ago because it looked like we defeated the yeast monster!

Was it the liquid that you used or was it a cream?

It was a cream that we put directly onto the yeast infection.
