Being snowed in = lots of Reagan time (yea) and....online shopping!!!

I really want to make Reagan's baby food, but I work full time and I'm not the best cook. Everyone I know raves about this product, so I decided to splurge and buy it - hopefully it will be a timesaver and I'll have a little fun using it?!?

Amazon.com: Beaba Babycook Baby Food Maker: Baby

And I often lurk in the September playroom and everyone was talking about Sophie the Giraffe teething toy and its also got good reviews...

Amazon.com: Vulli Sophie the Giraffe Teether, Brown/ White: Baby

I'm excited - hopefully they live up to the hype!

I've heard lots of good reviews about that giraffe teether. I've had lots of people say it's the best teether they ever used.

The food thing is cool but wow is it expensive! I plan on making baby food too. I did a lot of my son's and it wasn't too hard. Most of it you can simmer in a pot or pop in the oven for a bit.

I thought about buying that food processor, but then I realized that I'd rather boil the food myself and just use our kitchenaid food processor lol. It is convenient though!

Paula - I pay the bills and handle our finances, so I can probably sneak the costs by him

And yes, the giraffe looks like an old-fashioned rubber toy - or dog toy for that matter. Not sure why its so popular with babies but I'll find out and let you know!!!

Let me know how it works out with the giraffe teether. It does seem to get rave reviews.

I plan on using our steamer for most of Josiah's baby food. I got it at goodwill for a couple bucks. lol

yay! The babymaker looks very convenient and easy to use. If the giraffe teether works better than anything else you've tried, please keep us updated. I will try anything that helps Ezra to feel better.

You got a Sophie.. Yay! I plan on buying one this weekend.. One of the Mommy stores in town had a sign up saying she had them.. Sophies were really popular in Adriana's PR..

It's good to splurge every once in a while. I don't handle the money, but I make 1/2 of our income, I splurge and don't even tell my DH about it.. Unless it's a big ticket item.. Kinda hard to hide that.. lol

Definitely let us know how the Beaba works, I'm pretty interested in that. I do have a tiny food processor about the same size, I wonder if it would work just the same if I steamed the veggies and then used it. But let me know about the Beaba - it seems really convenient to be able to do it all in one bowl.

I've been looking at getting that giraffe but Lucy seems to already love one of the softer bath toys to chew on so I'm not sure it will be worth it, especially since everything here is so expensive.
