What type of cereal are you supposed to start with, rice or oatmeal? Does it matter? I've been thinking of trying Bella on a little cereal in the afternoon, but I'm not sure which one to try. I would ask her dr., but her next dr. appt. isn't for another 2 1/2 weeks, and I don't feel like this is something that would need me to call him.....

It doesn't matter. I've always started with rice and moved onto oatmeal. Emily liked rice with a little fruit mixed in but hated oatmeal.

I don't think it matters.

I usually start with Organic rice.

funny ... we are in the same boat ... we just decided to try rice cereal tonight!
We don't see the Dr until the 22nd ... but she really seems to want MORE after her bottle and if we give her more bottle ... up it comes !
So we are going to try the rice cereal tonight ... should be interesting !

I'm not sure what we're going to start with, maybe a mixed grain one or oatmeal.

doesn't matter. Once you pick one though stick with it for 3 days before switching it up.. and get SINGLE grain or it's mega-constipating. yikes!

We started with Oatmeal. He spits it all out and generally finds it to be a horrifying experience by the look on his face

I don't think it really matters since the cereal is more for learning than for nutrition.

I agree it doesn't matter.

I start with single grain rice and then move onto oatmeal once they learn to eat and swallow
