I finally had to take Ana into the Dr as she wasnt shaking off her horrible cold/fever/cough thats shes had. They couldnt find her file, then it turns out she doesnt have one yet as shes only ever been for routine controls and weigh ins.
Shes got a nasty dose of what all the kids in the village have got, and the worst thing is her Dr has prescribed suppositories!! (I´ve never even seen one before, let alone put one in!) the funny thing is that they are eucolyptus and thyme and everytime she toots its like a waft of vicks vapour rub everywhere . She also has nose gel to soothe her nose and unblock the gunk, and paracetamol for the temperature. Good job the prescriptions are free!
Looks like the eucalyptus worked wonders, she smells of it everywhere, (its supposed to be the quickest way into the bloodstream?) and now she hardly has a sniffle, she was death warmed up on wednesday!
And Mary, I bought this thing called Ayr (I think?) for Siera when her nose is plugged up. It's like a little gel that I put on her nostrils and it clears up her nose quickly. I bought it in Rite Aid or Duane Reade or Walgreens... one of those places.
That's weird to get suppositories. But it might be easier to administer.
Daniela had a cold/cough twice and both times I went in for the cough and found out she had ear infections. She got amoxicillin antibiotics for 10 days. I hate giving her liquid medication.
