I'm having a hard time deciding what I want for a double stroller since we will need one come June. I was going to get the combi double one, but I doubt those wheels will survive our dirt driveway, and our neighborhood.

So help me please, what do you have? Any pros/cons?

i only have singles, but if you need a really rugged one a double jogger might be your best bet!

You know what I'm getting from my other post. Lord knows I've gone through my fair share, and test drove so many different ones before deciding on the Zooper Tango.

I agree with Amanda, if you're looking for larger wheels I'd go with a double jogger. They don't come in a tandem style though and are only side by side. Depends on what you're going to do with it (i.e. light walking, mall walking, jogging, etc).

My only concern if I don't go with bigger wheels is that they are going to get destroyed quickly since I won't be on smooth ground a lot, otherwise my mind would already be made up. And of course, the bigger wheeled doubles are more expensive!

I know its probably mostly personal opinion, but whats easier to push side by side or tandem. I have tried them out in the store, but really trying it in the store is different from real use lol

The tandem is like driving a limo. Very long and not forgiving when it comes to steering or turns. Hard to push with 1 hand and usually heavy. However, it's probably the cheaper of the 2 choices and can accomodate an infant carrier.

Side by side can come as light as 24lbs and go up from there. Can be narrow (30") and fit standard door widths. A bit more wider than a tandem but can be steered with 1 hand if not too heavy.

Really depends on what you're looking for. I don't know if you're looking for a stroller that will hold the infant car seat (like a travel system). There aren't too many jogger strollers that will do that.

from what i've seen, kids are MUCH better behaved when they are sitting side-by-side, with the tandem the kid behind is always hitting/bothering the kid in front.

My girls LOVE sitting next to each other. They're both well behaved when we're out but they're super sweet when they're together. Mak is so focuses on helping Maddie and I don't have any outbursts. When I had the tandem Mak would get squirmy and always wanting to turn around to see Maddie.

We love the side by side stroller.
