Man this has been a nasty winter w/ illnesses. The past few days Abe has had a cough that he got from Cohen but today it sounded terrible, he's had a fever (which didn't start until after his shots on Friday) for 4 days so we went to the doctor this evening. They did a breathing treatment while we were there and diagnosed him w/ a pretty nasty infection in one ear. I just want my kids to be healthy

hugs! I hear you on the illness front. I hope your little guy (and mine for that matter!) gets to feeling better ASAP!

we've gotten to the point where we are going to switch doctors. important to have a doctor who CARES and ours doesn't. I hope yours gives your LOs the attention they deserve

No she didn't say anything about the ear infection being a concern...

He was technically diagnosed with Bronchiolitis which she said was from RSV. Whether he actually has RSV we don't know bc she didn't test him for it.

I really like our pediatrician, she's pretty conservative and immediately did a breathing treatment and offered to send us home with a nebulizer but we declined and said we'd try the inhaler first. She calls after hours and remembers EVERYTHING even though she sees lots of kids.

sounds like a great doc Im sorry your lil one is sick, when Ellie had bronciolitis they sent her home with an inhaler with the mask. Unfortunately it didnt make any difference even tho she was wheezing.. I hope the inhaler works for him and he starts feeling good soon its a nasty illness

that's pretty much Parker to a T. they said he had bronchiolitis even though they didn't test for him and after weeks of no improvement, they finally tested him for RSV- negative. a week later he got worse and they swabbed again, positive.
The neb didn't help and neither did the inhalers (did one, then the other).. I hope they give Abe some relief.
Is this his 2nd time with RSV? or was it someone else i'm thinking of that had it before?

Cohen had RSV before and we did the nebulizer and inhalers for him which didn't work - he also lost 3 -4lbs in the last month because his appetite just wasn't normal, but we never had to force him to eat.
