I just saw that you had posted and I don't see you around too often. If I'm not mistaken it was your daughter who got burned that time by the hot water right?

How is she doing now? I saw your siggy and she is so beautiful! Both kids are. It looks like it must have healed nicely for her.

I only get about 30 minutes a day of actual computer time, but I lurk a lot on my phone while I'm at work.

She is doing okay. She has deep scars on her face but they aren't very visible. She has scars on her arm that are really thick but she is wearing a special spandex sleeve to hopefully make them not as rough.

Here are a few pictures:

Three days after

Five days after

Two weeks after

One month after

Three months after

Four months after

I don't have one for five months, but it is smaller, but very purple. Getting her to leave the sleeve on is a bit of a challenge, but even with her wearing it not consistently, it still looks really good.

OMG! Poor baby!! I'm so glad she's ok and it's healing beautifully! Can I ask what happened? Somehow I missed it.

I'm so glad it's healing up. It looks much better! That had to have been such a horrible experience for both of you though. Burns are awful! Two years ago my mom had almost the same thing happen. She made a cup of tea and set in down on the counter only she wasn't looking and set it partway on the edge so it spilled all down her legs. She got some pretty nasty burns from that.

Omg, I'm bawling from reading that. I just can't imagine the fear, horror and pure panic that you were all feeling. Charly looks so good now and is healing so well!
I know how scary c/sections are anyway and to have to have one while worrying like that for your daughter, how scary! I'm so glad this has a happy ending though. Both your little girls are beautiful!

Thank you! It was sad because one day was the ABSOLUTE worst day of my life, followed by one of the best days of my life. But we are good now, and back to normal.
It was weird though because while it happened, I was willing God to send the pain to me. I just held her as she cried and prayed to God to send all the pain to me and take it away from her. It was by far the most emotional and life changing two days I've ever had.... I cried a thousand tears and felt like a changed woman when I came home from the hospital, lol.

Oh I can't even imagine how conflicted you must have felt. I'm so glad that she's okay and that you can put all of that behind you and just enjoy your 2 beautiful girls.

I remember reading your story and I know my heart was just pounding for you. Having a child get hurt like that is every mother's nightmare.
