So I have to brag about DH. He took care of Baby Billy all on his own last night. You may wonder what the big deal is. Well, some of you may remember me telling you that DH is an amputee (lost his right arm). So, to do all that he did is a big deal. I get these massive sinus aches, which often cause me to vomit. At about 5:00 PM I started getting one. I could tell pretty quickly, that it was going to be bad. Just how bad, I didn't know. It was awful. I couldn't stand up without vomiting. I was in bed in tears because the pain was so bad. I was even ready to go to urgent care. I even thought it might even be food poisoning. So, DH did everything by himself. He fed him, changed several poopy diapers, sucked snot out of his nose, gave him a bath, got him ready for bed, put him to sleep. I mean...he did it all. The only part that made me laugh was when my sinus ache was finally gone at 1:30 AM and I went to check on my son. DH had put him in a jammies t-shirt, sweatpants, and then a sleeper that was way too small. He was burning up from all the clothes. Luckily, he slept through me taking off his socks and sweatpants. I waited 10 minutes to see if he had cooled down. He did, so I put the socks back on and buttoned the bottom of his jammies. Oh and did I mention that DH has a cold and the baby was all congested yesterday?
Your sinus infections sound awful - so sorry you have to deal with that! Isn't it so nice to have a hands-on DH?! When I hear about dads who refuse to change a diaper or feed their child, I think how frustrating that would be for the mom... and it makes me appreciate single moms too!
