Sorry I haven't been around. Ben woke up with a little cough Thursday morning but other that that he seemed fine. He even went to nursery school and ran around for the egg hunt. He took his nap later and woke up coughing and with a fever. By Friday morning his temp hit 104.5 so we went to the Doctor. They gave us an antibiotic and sent us for a chest x-ray which showed possible pneumonia.
We got home and he went to sleep and would barely wake up. His fever shot back up and he wouldn't eat or drink. Called the Dr and he said to head to the ER. We went to the ER at the Children's Hospital and because his pulse ox was low they had to give him oxygen which meant he'd be admitted. He got a room around 3 am Saturday morning. We thought he'd come home yesterday evening but he was still doing terribly. Then we thought today but it's not looking to promising but there's a possibility of tonight. So the poor kid had to spend Easter in the hospital. Luckily the Easter Bunny knew where to find him and he even got two baskets. One would have went to his house and the other came from the hospital bunny.
Oh no.. Sounds like what A.J had a few weeks ago, A.J was diagnosed with Broncholitis and was in the hospital for 5 days.. So I know what your going through.. I'll be praying for a speedy recovery. If you need anyone to vent too or talk about the hospital stay.. Feel free to PM me or talk to me on Facebook..
*P.S try to get some sleep..
**Edit - They wouldn't let A.J go home until he could breath room air for 24 hours.. You may want to ask if Ben needs to be on room air for 24 hours as well..

Thanks so much ladies. Ben came home last night! He played a bit at the hospital and came home and played with the Thomas the Train that the Easter Bunny brought. He wears out easily and has some nasty coughing fits but he is doing much better. Saturday was really awful. I've never seen my poor baby so sick.
The weirdest thing was that he went from not being sick at all. He had been perfectly fine and then had a slight cough and then had a fever. He went down hill so fast. Even when we went to the doctor Friday morning the doctor knew he was sick but it didn't seem that bad. He was talking and moving around okay but by Friday night we could barely get him up and his fever was so high. It's crazy how fast they can get sick.
