Have any of you seen that movie with Robin Williams playing a 40 year old child? I wonder if that is Christian lol

Hes gotten so big and seems to be so much bigger then other babies his age!

At 5.5 months hes 21lbs, 29 inches tall, wearing size 9-12 mo clothes and size 4 shoes! And hes not fat just big! Am I the only one with a jolly green giant on my hands? Mommas of big babies, are you tall or is daddy tall--where does it come from?

Well, Danica's not small, but not tall. At 5 1/2 months she was 17 lbs 9 oz (90th %ile), and only 25.5 inches (50th %ile).

I'm far from tall....5' 2". DH is average, 5' 10".

My oldest was 20 lbs. at 4 months. I forget how tall, but he was up there. He is 18 now and is 6'1 and about 200 lbs. He is very broad across the shoulders and is impressively strong. When he was 2 his ped estimated that he would be 6'2". I'm not sure if he's done yet but she was pretty close if he is.

^Mamatolots! Long time no see! Hope you are doing well!

All babies are so different. I'm sure he's pretty high up there on the percentage scale but some babies have to be up there and some have to be at the lower end (like Jillian) otherwise there would be no middle!

His growth may slow down some now. Some kids grow fast early on and others catch up later.

Both my boys were huge babies. They were in the 99% for weight and in the 90% for height at every check up. They both weighed around 22 lbs at their 6 month checkup. My 5 year old has slowed down some, but my 3 year old is about an inch shorter than his brother, but weighs the same and wears the same size shoes. He's just a giant and doesn't seem like he'll slow down. My hubbie is 6.0 and I'm 5.7 and are weight is pretty average so I don't know why they are so huge. I have to admit, when they were around 6 months, they didn't look like they were just big, they looked like butterballs.

Every baby is different.. My younger sister was in the 100 + percentile when she was a baby.. She was 24 lbs at 1 years old.. lol She was so chunky.. Well, she's 18 years old now and vary slender and looks perfect. She just says all of her baby fat moved to her boobs.. lol

My son is my biggest baby.. He's in the 50th percentile for height and weight.. But he's chunky.. My daughter had her 2 and 1/2 year check up and she's 26 lbs and 35 inches tall.. She's so petite..I have a feeling A.J is going to be bigger her.. Then he'll start picking on her.. lol And short genes run in my family.. I'm 5'3 but my mom is 4'11... Also, my DH mom is 5'3.. My daughter is doomed to be a shortie..

Ashlynn was in the 50th percentile at her 4mo appt and she's definitely got some baby chub going on. I call her my Michelin (like the tire) baby because of her arms.

No I think Xander is small. He weighed in at 14lb 7.2 ounces with his clothes and a wet diaper at his ortho appointment but he is long 27" long.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with a big boy. Miles is 19lbs 26.5inches at 5.5months. Not quite as big as your little guy, but when I see how big baby's his age are I feel like I have a giant. Then again his dad and I are not small people.
