LOL As much as I'm dreading her turning one I've already thought about what to do for her birthday party. I even already bought her first birthday dress. We want to do a cupcake theme and I found a pink 1st birthday dress with a cupcake on it so I went ahead a got it.

I'm going to make one of those giant cupcake cakes and then do some little ones. I'm not sure what else yet.

Even though it is 6 months away we have done some hardcore planning. I spent the weekend adding party favors, decorations and present ideas to my wishlist on amazon. We are doing a John Deere theme and we are getting DS one of those push along John Deere tractors for his big present.

I feel guilty about it though. I in no way want to rush through these next 6 months. I seriously soak in every second.

Oh heck yeah, I always plan way early.
I had planned on doing either a cupcake theme or a ladybug theme, however.. Abby LOVES Pooh. Everytime My Friends Tigger and Pooh comes on Disney, she smiles this HUGE smile, so I might do Pooh. They sell it in pink for 1st Birthday, so I might just go with it.

I say seperate! Atleast for her 1st, I'd do seperate. Kayla's and Em's are only about a month apart but I always do them seperate.

OMG, yes. I know where we are having the big party (Children's Museum) and when, and I have a folder of stuff saved online like partyware, cakes and invites! Got 2 possible outfits already in the closet (one not worn by brother) but don't know exactly what size he'll be or if I would rather match his outfit to his theme...

LOL.

Wait...her father won't let you have her on Mother's Day??? Do you guys have a custody agreement? Usually them make sure that the mother is able to have MD and the father can have FD.

If he really won't let you have her for MD then I'm sorry but he's a total douche!

i'm glad i'm not the only one! i haven't decided on a theme yet, right now she really likes the gummibar videos so that's a possibility. i've also thought about just making her the theme. i want to have one 5x7 for each month printed out and framed and a video of her first year looped.

i'm making her cake chocolate with lemon filling. it's a family favorite and i found out the other day that she LOVES lemon. i can't decide if we should have it at home or if we should do it at the childrens museum. i really want to do it at the zoo but it will be too cold.

before my grandmother passed away she bought echo a gorgeous dress with the instruction that she wear it on her 1st bday and have professional pics done. i'm going to get her a play dress too because getting chocolate on the one my grandma got her would be a crime!

I have not once thought of it til now! I know we'll make her cake because we always do, but that is the only thing I know. It's fun having a girl so I'll definitely put more thought into the invites, decorations, and what she'll wear.

Well we have a couple things going against us...

1) dh isn't here and more then likely won't be here in time for her 1st birthday

2) we are in Italy with NO family here

So, our plans are to have a small, one cupcake, happy birthday ON her birthday but then after the guys get home and after 30 days leave is over have a bigger bday with anyone that wants to show up. We are also thinking of having a combined Thanksgiving/1st bday party but we aren't sure about that one yet...
