So the last week Thayden has been coughing and waking himself up. He doesn't show any signs that he is sick or has a cold. I have no clue where this cough is coming from. Anyone else LO's cough but are not sick? I will prolly make him an appt if it doesn't get better in the next day or two. I keep thinking maybe its just him kinda choking on his drool.

well mine's been sick and has had horrible cough on and off for a month now...but at her last appt her pedi said babies often have mild coughs w/o being sick...apparently even sometimes excessive drooling/teething can cause it?

But i'm sorry he's coughing - especially if it's waking him up...hopefully it's nothing...as long as he isn't running fever or congested it's probably ok.

I had this issue with Chloe but it was really bad, we wound up having a sleep study done and found out her tonsils were enlarged and would block her airway when she laid down flat. Now we know she has to sleep at an angle. I though it was just her gagging on drool or something but it got to be frequent so I mentioned it to my pedi

Yes! Lately Kaitlin will wake up and cough, but just in the morning! At first I thought she was sick, but she didn't have any other symptoms and it it just some of the time. It could be the excess saliva.
P.S. Denise your new siggy ROCKS!!
