Parents/Child care providers, whoever administers medicine to children!!
There was a recall on Tylenol, Motrin, Zyrtec and other medicine.

Check this link: McNeil Consumer Healthcare Announces Voluntary Recall of Certain OTC Infants? and Children?s Products.

This crap makes me sooooo mad!!! I can't believe McNeil keeps recalling their medicines. Back in Sept. 2009 they had just about the same recall. Why does this keep happening?!? Why not check EVERYTHING BEFORE you put them on the shelves for parents/care givers to buy them for their children?!?
This is one mother DONE with buying ANY McNeil products! Good riddance!

I saw that. I don't like giving my kids meds for that very reason. I always wonder if they'll realize later that there is something in it that kids shouldn't have.

I found out saturday evening that Ben's Tylenol had been from a batch that had been recalled. I had just given it to him the night before too for his teething. So had to throw it out and go get some more...all of the Tylenol was gone from Walmart so I just got their Equate brand because he needed it BAD. Teething drops weren't working and the poor guy was miserable.

this was just posted yesterday or the other day. Bailey's is on the list too, and she needed it last night, had a fever of 101.6 According to the news, everyone should not buy the name brand stuff and stick to the generic equivalents

Yeah. I'm sorry about a re-post about this subject. I didn't see anything posted and I just found out about it on Monday. I had no idea until a friend of mine on fb said something about it.

We just checked ours and it was on the recall. So we called and they are issuing refunds and were very nice and helpful. Though I was very not happy that it was on the recall list since I had given some to Miles weeks ago when he was teething.

I'd prefer a refund. A product coupon will do me no good since I don't plan to ever buy their products again anyway. I used to always use Tylenol for myself and my kids. Well after the first recall of the adult Tylenols you still can't find Tylenol on the shelves here so I've switched to Advil for myself and DH.

They also lost my business for kid products. I'll stick with generic brand from now on.

I went for the refund as well. It is funny, I usually ONLY buy generic (cheapskate) and when I went to get the tylenol, it was on sale for less than the generic. Guess I learned my lesson!

I always liked Tylenol and between watching for sales and using coupons I could always get it cheaper than the generic but now I'll stick with generic. I'm completely done with Tylenol products.

Oh! I'm so glad you ladies are all doing the same thing, getting a refund and going with generic! I just don't see how anyone could keep going towards Tylenol with all of these dang recalls. Generic does just as great and it's cheaper AND I don't think I've heard of any recalls on generic brands.

If you call Tylenol they will tell you that they are not issuing product coupons that they are issuing everyone a refund at this time. They even told us to buy generic for the time being. The rep also said that they did the recall as a precaution, that there hasn't been any reports of children having side effects caused by the meds.
DH called them right away while I was on-line requesting a refund.
