Well Jadyn and I had a hell of a night last night. She slept good when she finally fell asleep at 11:30. When she woke up at 3:30 to eat, she couldn't breathe out of her nose, therefore she couldn't eat. She cried and cried and I felt sooo bad so I went in the bathroom, closed the door and turned the shower on hot and we sat in there for a half hour (it was really hot and steamy). I used the booger sucker and she HATED it, but I got a LOT of icky stuff out. At around 4:10am we went back into the bedroom and I held her close to me and rocked/sang to her until she calmed down. She then ate her bottle at 4:30 and passed out. If only she knew how to blow her nose! Poor baby!!

I'm wondering if I should make her a doctor's appointment?? I only see her getting worse... She doesn't have a fever.

aww poor thing! It doesn't hurt to call, but they probably won't tell you anything you don't already know.....steamy shower, saline drops, etc. But that's what they're there for!

Aww! that sounds like a long night! IDK if I would call the pedi unless he symptoms drastically change or a fever spikes.
Hope she feels better soon! Have you guys tried the vapo bath? It helped W last winter and I've even put it in the shower with me .

We also love the baby vapor rub. It makes all the junk run out of her nose so we can just wipe it. It seems to help her sleep much better too. Danielle has been sick a ton since she started daycare.

Tessa was that exact same way a couple weeks ago. It lasted a couple days and then she was fine. We just kept on clearing her nose as often as we could. Hope Jadyn feels better soon.

We had the same issue awhile back. we used the baby chest rub stuff and i even put a little under her nose before bed. That seemed to help the most. I tried a steam shower and sucking her nose (but she hated it and wouldn't be still enough for me to actually get much out).

We also bought some saline nose drops and they helped a little. Hope she feels better soon!

Kylie has had the whole stuffy nose twice and it's miserable because she'd wake up and be so uncomfortable. We did the same thing, in the bathroom, turned the shower on HOT, and then stayed for a half hour. I would also give her saline nose drops and keep sucking her snot in the bathroom and then put her back to bed. It did allow her to sleep a little longer, but she'd still wake up when her nose was stuffed up again. I also used the chest rub stuff, and it seemed to help her, even though she seemed to hate the smell at first. Hope she feels better soon, we seem to have a lot of sick babies here!

awww, just keep doing what you are doing, try to keep that nose suctioned out so it doesn't settle anywhere. Also if it's really thick you can use saline nose drops. It literally takes all my might to hold Elijah down to suction his nose. Not sure if you know this trick or not but they showed me when my oldest was in the hospital with RSV as a baby but you push in the bridge of the nostril that you are not sucking out as you suction the other nostril and it creates more of a suction. I hate suctioning out Elijah's nose, especially when he looks at you like you are torturing him and he holds his breath but I try to be fast and know it's only going to help him. Just watch for a fever or if it's not getting back after a couple days.

aww poor baby...sounds like you're doing all the right stuff to keep her comfortable...keep an eye on her breathing just to make sure it isn't spreading to her lungs (in which case i would go see her Pedi), but hopefully she'll start to feel soon!
