Laney's just started to do this in the past month or so, and wondering if it's "normal"
If I tell her "no" or she gets really frustrated she will bang her head on whatever is around. She used to do it on anything, but now she's become aware that it hurts and chooses more carefully. For example, she was mad that I told her "no" at dinner last night so she went to bang her head on the table.. stopped and then hit her head on the padded chair. But, she only does it when she's really upset or mad about something. Does anyone else's LO's do this or is it just my child!?

Eli went through this stage, but it was a while ago. Doesn't take them long to learn what hurts, huh? He tried to do it on the wood floor and my mom's house and stopped real quick. He still throws himself to the floor when he gets upset, he just doesn't bang his head anymore.

Joey used to throw herself backwards on the floor when she didn't get her way. She did it a couple times on a hardwood floor and soon learned to stop.

I bet this is a phase that will only last a week or so. Sounds like she's smart enough to not really hurt herself.

Ihave no advice but I think it's hysterical that your post is about her banging her head & your picture has her in a helmet..maybe make her wear it more? LOL
