Yeah, I know. Pre-AF misery is blaring big time too. I am going to go for a nice long walk with the kids tomorrow in our expected nice weather. Hopefully that will make me feel better about this week.

Awesome job ladies! It's time for me to work on getting this baby weight off. DH took a pic of me today, and I was pretty upset when I saw it. I am starting a food journal tomorrow. I tend to eat more calories than I realize. I think I still have about 20 lbs to lose. I am buying a scale tomorrow. I really want to get back to the weight I was before the 4 pregnancies.

Welcome Lauren!! A food journal is a great idea! I think you look wonderful how you are but it is all in how we feel about ourselves. Now that it is getting warmer I am sure you can get those babies out for some nice walks, well when you are for sure good and healed. Don't push things too hard!

I have lost 30 pounds now!!! 30 pounds for my 30th birthday, which was one of my ultimate goals! My birthday is March 29th so I will have more off by then I am sure! Sooooo happy about this that I am going to share it on the main board too!

How is everyone doing??

Yay!!! Down another 1.2 pounds for a total of 31.2! Yayyyyyyy! I had a rough week this week with too many bad choices and going over DPs everyday. However, I was very busy all week and I really think the breastfeeding is FINALLY showing some weightloss effects. It has never helped me lose weight like it does for others but I think I needed to boost my metabolism or some such to see that effect. It is the ONLY way this quick weightloss makes sense! I still have not incorporated regular exercise!!!

I don't think I have lost any weight, but I counted my calories every weekday (I take weekends off from that, but eat healthy foods), and I walked almost every day. I wore Ruby most of the time for extra strength training, lol.

That's great Jen! I think bf'ing is helping me this time. It didn't with Wesley, but I went from 168 to 145 in 4 weeks this time. 10 lbs to go until my pre-preggo weight with her.

That is awesome Lauren!! Just be careful with the breastfeeding not to push it too far. I think "they say" 1 pound per week to maintain good milk production. I don't care so much since they are older so I said if they wean because of me doing this for all of our health so be it. So far that just has not happened although Leila tells me that there is no milk in there sometimes. It takes longer sometimes for the let down to occur and I know the quantity is way low. I am not saying that is the case with you, just a heads up.

Thanks. I am using the myfitnesspal.com website and I have it set to a lb a week. I have enough milk for 5 kids, still. I was actually looking into getting a milk saver thing. Every time she eats, I drench my shirt, even with nursing pads, lol.

That is awesome!! I figured you knew all that but as a breastfeeding advocate I feel the need to preach to the choir quite often! Hope you didn't take too much offense!

Traci that is so awesome!!! Keep at it!!! And it definitely seems like you are right...a couple bad choices are not the end of the world! After all, we have to keep living or it would never work and we would never keep it off!

Traci, you are so close to your goal!

Things are ok here. I had my 6 week PP visit yesterday. She said to take it easy for a couple more weeks. I'm walking 4-5 days/week. I'll do some strength training when I get the okay. Obesity runs in my family on both sides. I would gain 5 lbs if I ever ate a cheeseburger, lol.

I had a TERRIBLE week. I am expecting a gain and would be so surprised if I didn't gain.

Tomorrow is weigh in...I will start fresh tomorrow.

Glad you are going to take it easy a little longer Lauren. It wouldn't be good to injure yourself and hold up the healing.

I am so surprised! I was down 1.8 this morning at weigh in!!! I am totally blown away! I was expecting a gain for sure! I really think the breastfeeding is the reason for the weight loss. It has to be! I really did not eat well this week at all.

New week, eating better! And I am walking today and at least two other days this week for at least a half an hour.

How is everyone doing?? Any loss to report? Anyone struggling?

I was up .2 of a pound this Sunday. I was expecting it because I have not been doing so well with eating. I went walking both yesterday and today because I feel so bad about it.

So sorry to leave you all alone in here. I am stumbling along, mostly maintaining. Going to the gym semi regularly, but not as much as I should, and eating mosty OK, but not as good as I should. I'll weigh in Friday and it might be a slight gain from last time. We'll see.

Maintanence is good! Plus if you are working out then you are likely adding muscle. Muscle weighs more. Keep at it!! Keep us posted!

I am really discouraged. I have been counting my calories through myfitnesspal.com and walking almost every day for 20-30 mins (usually while wearing Ruby) and the scale at the OB's said I gained .5 lbs. What the heck?!

I am bummed, but I guess my body is still bouncing back from having Ruby. With Wes, I couldn't lose the rest of the weight until I stopped bf'ing. I'm not stopping with her until she weans, so I hope this is temporary. I really wanted to get some weight off before DH's/brother's birthday pool party at the end of the month. Oh, well.
