Does your LO mostly play with gender related toys, or unisex toys?
Does your boy, only play with "boys" toys? Your girl only with "girls" toys?
Does your boy play with any "girl" toys? Your girl play with any "boy" toys?
Are you against boys playing with dolls and kitchens, etc or girls playing with trucks and trains, or does it not matter as long as they have fun?

Most of our toys are girl toys but we do have some "boy" toys. We have a little work bench and cars, Handy Manny toys, etc, etc. Then we have neutral toys.
Honestly, I don't care what they play with. If I buy them something and it comes in pink, I buy pink.
At this age I don't care what they play with. Cohen really likes all the toys we have, but is really into guns. He turn everything into a gun, and no we haven't bought him a toy gun. He learned about them when he was still in daycare and we gave up on that battle. He also really likes his stuffed kitty and reading books Abe loves cars, and will occasionally go give the stuffed animals/cpks a hug and kiss.
We have all kinds of toys in the house. Liam has a doll and stroller that he likes. We have a million little people and his favorite is the wise men and angel that went with his manger set. For his birthday we want to get him a nice wooden kitchen set. So, no, I have no issues with Liam playing with typical "girl" toys. Or Julia playing with trucks or army men. It just doesn't seem that important to me. Here is one of Liam's favorite things to do right now:
That is my make up. He empties it and "puts it on" several times a day. He also loves to play with the scarfs we have in a basket...and he uses them like boas. He is very in-touch with his feminine side
^Everytime I see that at target I want to buy it! Now I;m thinking I should
Echo LOVES it! Here are the downsides... She puts things in it (baby hairbrush, nail polish bottle, other toys) that then get stuck and I have to spend 20 minutes with a pair of tongs to get it out. The base is not attached and comes off very easily so it gets knocked over all the time. IT'S LOUD.
Seriously, she does love it though. I was going to put it away for a while after we received it as a gift, because I didn't think she was old enough to get it. Her Grandpa let her play with it though and she is addicted. She hasn't figured out how to use the hammer part, but she can push the balls through with her hand.
