Wish the Natalies post ab Elise, I was wondering..
Do you have an allergy? If so to what? What happens if you eat/come in contact with whatever the allergen is?

No allergies for me that I'm aware of..

But I feel for those who have allergies.. It's very hard to avoid foods when they have so many allergies.. You won't believe how many foods contain egg, soy, and peanut.. It's hard..

No allergies for me. Except wine, there is something in wine that I'm allergic too. That's not hard to avoid, so no big deal.

I'm allergic to bees, but not enough that I'd die. I swell up ginormously though.

I was lactose intolerant growing up. Everything went right through me. I was just about 17 pounds at a year and a half because I was so sick.

Now I have sensitivities to laundry detergents and pineapple in large amounts. I get hives with the detergents. The pineapple makes me turn purplish, but I have no other symptoms.

^^LOL! I am allergic to those things too

But seriously, I am allergic to bananas. You don't want to know what happens...but it is a full-body reaction. I have an epi-pen for it. But I will not swell immediately, I go through vomitting and other unpleasantness before I start to swell, so I get some advanced warning. My mom found out when I was 6 or so months old and she fed me bananas. We went to the ER. I have run into it twice since then (once at smoothie king with an uncleaned blender that contained bananas, once with someone failing to tell me her "nut bread" contained bananas). It is a very, very easy allergy to avoid, since not much comes in contact with bananas. I do have to be careful about fruit in general though, I have to wash everything.

Bananas are linked to latex allergies as well...but I am not allergic to latex. I likely would be with more exposure though.
