Yep, I was alive and 6. I remember that day like it was yesterday. I had been playing in the back of the house and saw it happening on a small tv we had back there, I immediately ran to the front of the house to see what was going on. My mom was crying. I remember it all very vividly, the emotion, the news broadcasts, watching President Reagan speak. That day has always really stuck with me I guess because it's really my first memory of a national disaster.
I was in school, in 1st grade and it came over the loud speakers to turn our tv's on. All the teachers were crying. It was my first national disaster too.
One of those events that I will always know where I was and what I was doing.
