I actually feel really bad about it because we have reusable bags, but I haven't gotten in the habit of using them. When I go to Whole Foods or Trader Joes we get paper bags, and no matter paper or plastic we always save them and reuse them. Underneath my kitchen sink is FULL of bags.
Resuable or plastic we use the plastic to scoop cat poop and as little trash can liners but i try and remember my reusable ones, mine can also go in the wash so if anything funky gets on themi can toss them in the washer
