Yep, all the time. I don't stop him because he doesn't slam them. Plus, I'm kind of a live and let learn type, so if he smashes his fingers in the door he'll learn to either stop doing it or be more careful.
Jillian doesn't really get a chance to close doors. None of the rooms she has access to have a door that she'd be able to really use. She only has free roam in the living room and dining room and they don't have doors.
Brandon loves to close the doors. He will come into his room and then close the door behind him not latched but closed and then he will try to get it open and sometimes he does and sometimes he doesn't.
The only room I leave the door open to is his room, so he kept going in there, shutting the door, then knocking to come out. Only took me like 20 minutes of that game to figure out to shut that door, too.
Lurking from Nov 10 PR and Aug 09 PR and happened to see this.... My DS does this constantly. I just drape a towel over the top of the door so it won't close all the way. I recently read that one of the top five reasons for ER visits for toddlers is crushed fingers in doors... The towel is an easy solution!
Sadie is a door closing nut lol! I haven't really done anything but push the door all the way open. The carpet is a little higher where the wall behind the door is and it kinda makes it harder for her to move the door. I'm going to try lariena's trick though! seems like it might work for us too!!
