When I picked up Billy from my mom's today, she pointed out that his right eye was looking swollen and red. It was and the right one had green crust. I took him to the pediatrician and it looks like he caught my cold. So now I need to put eyedrops in his eyes twice a day for 5 days. I'm sure he'll hate it.

I hope it clears up soon! It is not easy to put eye drops in the eyes of babies or little kids! Good luck!

Aw! Poor kid We just had to do drops for pink eye (in both eyes) and man were they miserable. I recommend the car seat or high chair, since it limits where they can go while you get the drops in. Our doc recommended doing it when he was sleeping...but after waking him up twice, I went with the awake battle. Hopefully Billy won't mind them so much. It does go quick though.

Thanks. It sucked putting the drops in. For some reason, my mom was able to do it much better than dh and I.

Glad someone was able to get the drops in. I hope they don't take long to start to work.

glad the drops are working. Makes me so glad I am still nursing Bailey. Back when her and Collin had a form of pink eye, just squirting some BM in their eyes solved it in 36 hours.
