Okay.......First off....After Samantha poops she has started to bring me a new/clean diaper. To my knowledge this should mean that she should be ready to be potty trained. Right?
She hasn't had much interest in the potty here lately though. We put her on the potty after her bath every night but nothing happens and she honestly really wants nothing to do with it. She'll just get right off of it. DH thinks that she needs to just sit there until she does something. But I don't really agree with that. I don't want her to be scared of it. Which I think she has become a little scared of it so, I was thinking about buying a different potty or get one to go on our toilet.
What do you think?
Help!

While bringing a fresh nappy could be a sign she's ready to train it could also just be that's she's uncomfortable and wants to be clean. If she's not showing much interest I wouldn't push it. Pushing the issue can just make it harder in the long run.

All three of mine started bringing me a dipe around 12-15 mos after having a poopy diaper, the boys refused to even acknowledge the toilet until well after their 2nd birthdays.

I agree with the other ladies. Chances are, if she brings you the clean diaper, she doesn't have the ability to know before she goes that she has to go, kwim? It likely means she is uncomfortable with the dirty diaper and wants to be clean. That is a first step, but if she doesn't seem interested in the potty and doesn't know that pee or poo goes in there, I would leave the issue for a little while. Especially if you are thinking she might be afraid of the potty. She might not be quite ready. Hopefully when she is ready, it will be easy for you

100% ditto. At this age bringing a diaper doesn't mean she's ready, it means she doesn't like the feel and knows that when she poops, she gets changed.
