little animal lovers

Does your LO love animals? If you have any pets, how do they do with them? Have you taken your LO to a zoo or aquarium yet?

We don't have pets but my babysitters all do and the kids love ther cats. Not so much the dogs lol and they all love fish

We plan to take them to the zoo this summer. I was always pregnant so I was never up to going but now I am not pregnant and we plan to take them

Our babysitter also has two tiny dogs. Danielle likes them, and is good about petting them nicely, but gets a little scared sometimes if they try to take a toy from her or start barking a lot.

Kylie looves dogs. I have a mini dachshund and she will chase after her, and pet her, sometimes tries to grab her though and that's when my dog decides she's had enough. She is also around dogs when she's with her dad and his family, most of them have dogs. She likes cats too, but isn't around them a lot.

Ethan loves our dogs, he tries to lay on our big dog (our bassett hound) and he hugs up our lil dog

We have not taken him to the zoo yet

We go to the zoo here all the time. I got a zoo pass from Danielle for Valentines day. We go to the aquarium every time we go to the beach and the children's museum once a month. Ours has a $1 day.

Matilda loves our animals, we have a dog and 2 cats, the dog is very friendly towards her, the cats avoid her, lol, she used to grab the older cat by the ears, now he makes sure he's out of reach. We are attempting to have her pat the cats, rather then grab handfuls of fur.

As for zoo's there are none really around here, there's a small "farm" animal petting zoo, that has a few other animals thrown in about an hour away, but the last time we were there, it wasn't the cleanest looking place and I don't like the thought of letting matilda wander through it, there's another one about 20 mins away, that has mainly reptiles, a few australian native animals and a few monkeys, we haven't been out there for years.

I'd love to take the day care kids out, but the restrictions on excursions make it impossible.
