Nick has been my brothers BFF for 10 years now. For a that's a jerk to most people, he has an amazing soft spot for children. He loves children, and every child I've ever known has just flocked to him.
When Thomas was little, Nick and his girlfriend (Also just plain amazing with kids) would take Thomas out of my hair when at my parents and just spend hours playing with him, cuddling him. When my mom used to babysit Thomas when he was only a few months old, Nick and Michelle (the GF) would be the one to take over, do all the cuddling, diaper changes, and feedings. So not common for (then) 15 and 16 year olds. They were the same way with Collin.
Before yesterday, the had only met Bailey a handful of times, and haven't seen her since Summer.
Bailey is VERY very shy with people. Especially men at my parents house. She won't go to my father or brother at all. Heck she screams if they even try talking to her. When Nick showed up to my brothers party yesterday, he immediately scooped up Bailey. She would NOT leave him alone after that. If she wasn't in his arms, she was either following him around the house, or watching his every move. She just kept giggling and cooing at him and poking him in the face (eye, nose, mou') She even got him to feed her birthday cake.
Anyway, i just wanted to show off a few pictures of Bailey and her first crush.
She was in the middle of babbling about something when this was snapped. Just look at his face. Tell me that's not so stinking adorable?
The whole time at the party Bailey was miserable. This was the only real happy face I got in the house. Take a guess who she was looking at.
Honestly, I have seriously contemplated asking Nick and Michelle if they'd take on the responsibility of my children if something were to happen to Tom and I. At just 21 and 22 years old the are two the most hardworking, responsible people I know IRL. Plus despite the months that go by in between seeing them, my children love them, and they are amazing with them....
