I'm a little disappointed that Easter is so late this year. (April 24th) It's one of my favorite holidays and a sign Spring is for sure coming!

Usually now I'm buying stuff for baskets and making my scavenger hunt cards, etc...

So, what do you do for Easter?
Do you do baskets?
Always baskets or something else?
How much do you spend on a basket and the fillings?
Do you buy a pre-made or stuff one yourself?
Hide eggs?
Color eggs?
Do you hide the baskets?
Fancy clothes?
Big dinner?

Do you do baskets? Yes
Always baskets or something else? Anything that can be useful, backpack, bin, bucket, etc.. One year, Kayla's was a wagon.
How much do you spend on a basket and the fillings? I'm ashamed to admit this because DH thinks it's insane but it's just how I grew up... I spend about $100-$150 on each basket.
Do you buy a pre-made or stuff one yourself? Always make them myself.
Hide eggs? Yes
Color eggs? Yes
Do you hide the baskets? Yes, accordingly for age. I do a scavenger hunt for the girls. Each girl wakes up to find an egg by their bedroom door with their first clue. Then they go through the house, yard (weather permitting) to find their clues and ending with their basket.
Fancy clothes? Usually
Big dinner? Yes We always have a big get together with DH's family at a hall and then my family has dinner together later. I think I'll do Easter at my house this year.
Kayla's b-day is the 28th so I might just combine the family get together with Easter.

We don't celebrate Easter either. I'm glad its later this year. Means it will be cooler for Run for the Kids. It was already 30 degrees by 9:30 last year.

I'm actually excited that it's a little later because it gives me more things to keep busy with in April before baby comes the following month.
So, what do you do for Easter? Church, Easter egg hunt, dinner
Do you do baskets? I haven't, but my mom does for the boys
Always baskets or something else? Sometimes just candy and a toy (from my parents - I hate buying more crap, my kids have plenty of toys as it is)
How much do you spend on a basket and the fillings? Nothing
Do you buy a pre-made or stuff one yourself? I would probably buy a basket and fill it myself
Hide eggs? You bet!
Color eggs? Yep
Do you hide the baskets? Nope, they are just given to the boys
Fancy clothes? Sometimes I suppose. If I had a girl I'd be all over dressing them up. There are so many cute Easter dresses.
Big dinner? Yes! Yum!

We do a small basket, color eggs, and a teeny egg hunt. And that it is.
My Aunt will get each of the kids a little easter bag chock filled with chocolates, small toys, and an outfit each. It was a tradition Nana had, that she took over.

My Mom claims she's going to disown me each and every year since I moved out, as I don't do dinner, don't go anywhere for dinner, don't dress up. Nothing.

Do you do baskets? Yes

Always baskets or something else? Sometimes I use a beach bucket, one year Ben got his stuff in a little wheelbarrow. I've done nice beach bags for Amanda.

How much do you spend on a basket and the fillings? I don't know I don't really keep track. Usually $30 or under per kid. The last thing they need is a ton more stuff!

Do you buy a pre-made or stuff one yourself? Do it myself.

Hide eggs? We used to for Amanda. We haven't for Ben yet because he wasn't really old enough to get it. Maybe this year and Jillian can follow him around.

Color eggs? Yes!

Do you hide the baskets? No not usually.

Fancy clothes? Yes

Big dinner? Usually. Ben was in the hospital last year on Easter so we didn't do much of anything.
