Nope, never, nada. I *detest* shoplifting. Even as a child I never took anything. My mom was very clear that if we didn't pay for it, it did not belong to us and it stuck. I've taught my oldest the same and he's never taken anything either.
I remember being in junior high and my best friend got caught shoplifting stupid gum. She just did it to see if she could. Got put on probation and everything. So stupid.
I took gum by accident when I was maybe 6. I put it in my pocket and forgot to pay for it with my other candy. I realized once I got home and pretty much panicked. A few months later the store went out of business and I felt SO guilty. I thought it was my fault!
Awwww Monica! That's funny! As an adult I think I walked out with something purely by accident and had to run right back in and pay for it. It's awesome you had a conscience and actually were concerned. When my best friend took gum it was purely her being a brat. She had other friends later on in high school that were loaded and for fun used to go shoplifting at the mall. They'd pull up in their BMWs and walk out with hundreds of dollars in clothes.
When i was little we were at a store and I found a rainbow sun catcher on the ground, I liked it so i took it home. I didn't know it was stealing, until my mom found it later that day and told me if I didn't pay for it, it was stealing.
