It went well. The nurse made a comment that he is a tiny one cause he only weights in at 20lbs 13oz. he doesn't even make the chart

He is 32 1/2 inches tall though and is in the 50%.

He got one shot and didn't even cry for it. just gave the doctor a look.

I asked him about Xander not talking and he asked me if he understood what I was saying and I said yes and he said he was fine.

I didn't know he wasn't talking. Does he say anything? I know a lot of Abby's talking, is from Emily's non-stop talking to her.
He is tiny, but so is Breana, isn't she? I wouldn't worry about that AT ALL!! He sounds like he's doing well!
Abby goes tomorrow and I'm so nervous about her shot(s).

What a peanut. Bailey is smaller than my boys were at this age, and Collin was small. I personally love it. I can act like she is still a baby.

I wouldn't worry about the talking either, though I did with Collin as well. Now look at him.

Sounds like he is right on track with his growth pattern. And I love that he just looked at the dr!

Yes Paula Breana is tall and skinny.

Xander doesn't say hardly anything at all just grunts and points. He will only say momma when he is sick. He waves hi but doesn't say it. It is still alot a babble talk.

Abe is opposite, short and fat He has the stubbiest little legs, and if it makes you feel better he mostly babbles and grunts and points at things too. This week he has started trying to say a few things like turtle, fishies and Jesus.

Babble talk is still great. Its when there isn't even much babble that there can be a concern. I really need to make Lucy's appointment. Although I know her weight and height and that's all it is here at 18mth. She won't have any more shots till she's 4.

Sounds like Xander is doing well.

I wished Collin would babble at 12 and 18 mos. He never coo'd as a baby at all, heck never giggled either.....

At 24 mos it was all grunts and "ughs" At 27 only a vocab of 4 or so words....

He is YOUR child though, so if YOU are in the slightest bit concerned, see if your state has a birth to 3 program or something similar.

I will forever regret NOT doing more before I did. Even AFTER Collin started ST the few pedis I had told me I didn't need to worry as he understood everything and made his points known. Only advice ever given was "don't give in, make him use his words" I tried, and then quit that after I realized he just plain did NOT understand HOW to make the sounds.

Billy's pediatrician would call him lean.

Dh's cousin's son grunted until he was two. He has absolutely no speech delays or problems. heck DH's cousin did the same thing when he was a little one.

Yay for a great appointment. He sounds like he is growing just fine

For what it is worth, Liam doesn't say words either. He babbles a lot and points and intones sounds (like mimicking what we say), but our ped is not worried at all. She said that some kids take it all in before spewing it back out and from her observations of him, that is a likely explanation.

Hopefully he will start chattering soon, for your peace of mind

I'm glad it went well! That's great he didn't cry with the shot. That makes it a lot easier.
