I could live without it, but drive without it? Never. Yeah I love mine. Don't go anywhere without it.

I have a Garmin and hate it. It gets me lost and tries to pull me off the interstate and onto side roads all the time! Driving back east with it is a nightmare. So it resides on the back floor of the car for Ben to play with.

I get directions from my phone and also check the traffic on it. For here that's awesome.

^ sorry!

I LOVE the GPS, and couldn't live without it, at least until I got a phone w/ GPS. Now I prefer the phone, I just wish I could mount it on the windshield like the Tom Tom.

You can mount your phone Nicole, just find the right mount. DH mounts his.
I have a Garmin too and LOVE it!! Couldn't live without it because I ALWAYS get lost!!! I also love it for quick reference to the speed limit.
Catherine, sounds like you need to change the settings. It probably has you avoiding freeways.
I call mine "Betty", as in "B*tchin' Betty". LOL That's what they'd call the GPS in the jets in the Air Force. LMAO

I would get lost at the end of my driveway without my gps.

My sister has hers set to an Irish mans voice, and his name is Shawn. The other day we were on the phone and she started yelling at "Shawn" and I was completely confused until she explained.

I like it. We got one for Christmas, but before this we would borrow my parents or Ken's parents' GPS. We're going to VA in May and NC in June so definitely glad we have the GPS.

We got the SYNC navigation system with our car. I love it. However, DH thinks it's important to be able to read a Thomas Guide.

Rodger thinks its hilarious that ours is set to Homer Simpson. I don't find it at all funny and can't seem to get it to change the voice.

Tom would LOVE that! Right now he has it set to an "English Woman" He finds the accent sexy apparently. I never knew this until he messed with the settings!
