No, but I really don't go out and shop very often. If I spend over $30 or so I usually tell him only because he handles all the finances. He knows when I grocery shop that it will be about 75-100, but other than that I don't really spend much without him knowing.
Not really but I don't spend willy nilly either. We have grocery budget, I buy groceries with and obviously don't have to justify what I bought. lol
If I'm going to buy the girls new shoes or gifts or something like that, I let him know how much I'll spend so he can budget it.
Only if I need to purchase something major out of joint checking. We each have our own personal checking which our allowances deposit into each month so we just use that for anything out of the budget we may want to buy or spend it on. Like we just purchased an ipad which I was saving for with my allowance, he decided it would be okay to pitch in from JC since it's partly a family purchase because I use it for the girls to learn with, read etc.
LOL, this way I can have my iphone back since our daughter is always excitedly saying "Game!" and running over to my phone.
I tell him when I buy things just in a describing my day type way. Not how much things cost...unless I'm whining that something was expensive or pleased about getting a good sale.
Thats how I am
I never really tell how much I spend.... but we pay everything with credit cards, and pay them off at the end of the month... so he COULD see everything Ive spent if he wanted to.... I dont have any reason to hide or lie about it.
I do let him know though if Im gonna buy something bigger ( like over $100)
He is not a spender like I am though, and I spend lots more than him.... it would probably annoy him to see ALL the silly things I buy and what I REALLY pay for somethings....
We both have online access to the accounts and stay on top of things. We have our phone's set up to text if a purchase is over a certain amount just so we're in the loop. I'm always talking about saving money (been watching Extreme Couponing and doing more in that area though never so extreme). I think he loves it and I got a binder and pages yesterday and he was sweet and put it all together for me.
I'm always spending money on non-necessity things (hello Etsy) for our daughter out of my checking and he's always putting money in my acct for those purchases from JC just to be nice (if it's in the budget).
