...If your LO drinks whole milk, are you switching on or around their bday? I was just curious as I remembered that WIC stops giving whole milk at 2.....

Tom prefers whole milk since he is so underweight, so I'm hoping I can use the kids to convince him to switch to 1 or 2% LOL.

Abby has been drinking 2% for quite awhile now. Probably since 15-16 months.

If you actually look at the difference in fat content.. it's a very small difference between 2% and whole. Whole milk is 3.25% fat.. 2% obviously.. 2%. Not a huge difference.

A.J is already on 2% milk.. We had some constipation issues with whole milk.. We still have to limit 2% milk but at least we don't need medication to help him go.. I think it's just a allergy problem with him..

That's messed up.. Every child is built differently.. I've heard WIC can be a bit crazy sometimes.. I'm thankful I don't deal with them because I'm sure they would give me crud for A.J being so small.. I already get that from our Ped!

Xander is on the smaller side, so we'll probably stick with whole milk. DH and I don't really drink milk, so there's no reason to switch him.

Both girls still drink whole meal. Here the recommendation is until they are at least 6 depending on how much they drink. The more they drink, the earlier its recommended that they make the switch.

Yes we'll probably switch around 2, since that's when WIC stops the whole milk. ken will be upset he loves whole milk, being as he grew up on a dairy farm. I've started buying 1/2 gal of 1% just for Ashleigh and myself, since the whole milk isn't doing much for our weight loss journey LOL!

We will be switching because WIC does. I have given her 1% and she seems fine with it. I can't stand anything other than 1% because other stuff tastes like cream to me.

Jillian still gets whole milk. I'll probably switch her over in another month or so.
