I hope everyone stays safe..

I use to love being in weather like that. When I lived in Okinawa Japan we had Typhoons ALL the time.. I've been though several super typhoons as well.. Typhoons are like Hurricanes but a bit stronger due to the warm waters..

They put an overlay of the storm on top of NYC---the whole storm covered the ENTIRE north east! That's massive. Like hugely massive. No matter if it goes to the east or west we are getting hit here on the East Coast. I'm just hoping it weakens quite a bit before Sunday AM!

I am not doing anything. We are hopefully just getting some rain where I am . Not even at the flood stages.

Last I heard it was bigger than Europe...

Everyone here on the coast has been evacuated (i'm 7 miles from the coast but on a huge hill), people on the islands 15 minutes away from me were forced to sign wavers if they didn't want to evacuate---saying that if **** hits the fan no one will come rescue them until the storm has passed and they had to list their next of kin in case they die. Yep, that's what was said on the news last night. People here are freaking out. It's supposed to be much worst than Hurricane Gloria which closed the state down for days, people lost power for a week or more in my area. Even if the storm does weaken we are still screwed since it's supposed to hit at high tide.

We've only got winds and a little bit of drizzle on and off. I'm in central NC. We're not doing anything, just taking it easy and staying in.
