I will say that overall Nicholas is still sleeping very well (knock on wood), but there are a couple of things he is doing lately that are new and different...
Right after one of us is done tucking him in and have left his room (which he seems fine with at the time), he will immediately start screaming as if something happened in that one nano second to scare him. So, one of us just goes in, gives him a kiss and hug, and then everything is fine.
The other funny thing is that he didn't used to ever leave his room at night and would just holler/cry/scream if he needed anything, and we would hear it on the monitor. Now every now and then he will come running to our room and say either "I need my paci!" or "come cover me up please!" It is just surprising to have this little person come to our room in the middle of the night--we aren't used to it.
lol it sounds cute to have him running in the room with what he needs
My lo has more bedtime rituals than I can even count from who has to flip the light switch to the fact that the second I close the door he jumps out and sleeps in his chair.
Thank you to Mom2*Lauryn*Jacob* for my awesome siggy!
Bedtime is always a challenge here. Conner shares a room with DH and I, since we live in a 2 bedroom apt and the other room is occupied by my BIL. He always sleeps in our bed and IF he falls asleep in his bed, he will end up in ours before the morning. Its chaos and I cant even imagine how it will be when we get into a place where he can have his own space. He's never had his own room before so I am sure he wont know what to do!
Thank you Kellu (~:Kellarazzi:~) for my beautiful siggy!
Our LO's are funny when it comes to sleep sometimes :-)
Last night he was even worse .... he didn't want me to leave the room and kept delaying it with requests. He kept trying to leave the room for a while but gave up when I wouldn't let him and reminded him he sleeps in his room. He then screamed when I left the room and wanted to be covered up again (again, an excuse!), but once that was done he went to sleep. Not sure what is freaking him out about going to bed initially, but at least he is going to sleep, and my hope is that if we stay firm about keeping with the normal schedule he will get over it soon.
