Is anyone letting their munchkins go wherever they want in the house or are you still babygating, etc.?
We still have the garbage, cat food, bathroom & our bedrooms blocked, as well as our stairs (very dangerous). Not only for the daycare kids, but for Bella too. I'm sure it'll be like this for quite some time

Mostly free reign now! I keep our bedroom and the bathroom doors shut but if she really wants to open them she can so they're toddler-proofed. She makes a HUGE mess every day. I mean massive! I miss the days of gating her in

The only place Lennox can't go is the basement. We have a gate over the top of the stairs. He also can go outside into our backyard when he wants to.

Miles pretty much has free reign. The door to the basement is closed, only bc they're wooden steps and I don't want him crashing down. He's had free reign his whole life though, we never blocked anywhere from him.

We only gate at night in case she wakes up and wanders downstairs. And we gate the front door if it's open b/c she'll open the screen door and be in the front door. Our basement door is also always closed, but it doesn't matter anyways, it's a kid-free zone.

Pretty much free reign but like always the only places she cant go into our Daniels room and the bathrooms. She goes into the bathroom to eat toothpaste or get cotton swabs to stick in her nose or ears.

Mostly free reign, but they've always had that. We have one bathroom, the office, the basement door and the garage door blocked from them. Upstairs we try to keep them out of our room, but not always. They are in and out of all the bedrooms up there since htye can open doors.

the only gate we have is the one upstairs and only for when he naps and sleeps at night... incase he were to get up in the middle of the night and fall down the stairs or something. We think its very important for them, even as littles, to leave things that should be touched, alone. So they pretty much know where to go and not to go and what can be touched and what doesnt get touched by them

Free reign here, we keep Michael and Austin's door closed because of their toys being so small. If i leave a bathroom door open then Dylan runs along and closes it himself .

D has free reign. We don't have basements in Florida, and we live in a 1 level house. If I had stairs, I would probably gate them at night. Other than that, I also agree with Carrie. Dom knows what he can and can't touch and where he can go.

Yah...Bella knows where she can and can't go, what she can and can't touch, but that doesn't stop her. She's such a different child than Jace was. She is the reason for my grey hairs

Brianna has free reign, there isn't much she can get into with how our house is set up and where we have storage to put things. We keep the bathroom door closed still even though she can open it now but she doesn't have much interest playing in there abyways and the only thing I used the baby gate for was when she was crawling and kept chewing on shoes haha so I blocked off the entryway every so often but besides that she has always been able to go anywhere in the house.
